Start your vacation at The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and enjoy an unforgettable experience with some of nature’s most graceful creatures. You’ll do more than just pet the deer at the Deer Farm – you’re invited to walk among them and hand-feed these delicate animals.
You’re invited to get up close and personal with Rocky Mountain elk, hug a baby goat, rub a camel, pet zebra and zonkies, stroke an emu, and scratch Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs. You’ll also be able to pet AMHA registered mini-horses, as well as their bigger counter-part, the draft horse. Our friendly reindeer, mini-donkeys, Watusi, exotic cattle, and more await you and your treats!
Make sure to bring your camera! Your candid photos snapped here at The Deer Farm will be some of the very best taken during your entire trip to the Smokies!
For their benefit and yours, our animals enjoy regular veterinary inspections, so you will find no animals neglected here. We have a full time zoo-keeping staff who maintain a clean and healthy environment for all involved. Hand washing facilities are available both inside and outside.
Seasonal fun: Fawns and elk calves are born late May thru July – a real treat to see! The whole family will love watching antlers grow April thru August or enjoy seeing full racks September thru March.
